No Ordinary Drives: Harley Fat Boy and Polaris RZR XP 900
The Harley Davidson Fat Boy
Up on offer at The Indian Luxury Expo 2012 in Hyderabad is Harley Davidson's latest-the Fat Boy. Complete with an air-cooled engine and Harley equipment, this 1690 CC ride comes with a chrome finish, some really snazzy alloy wheels and a fantastic ABS (Anti-Lock Breaking System) for great control. Designed to cater to Harley enthusiasts above 40, the 2012 Fat Boy is a classic design and is already available for sale (at a 45-60 day delivery time lapse), and will set you back close to Rs 24 lakh.
Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic
Also on display was the Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, parked all sophisticated and mature with a windshield, leather trim and chrome finish. But what we particularly missed at the expo was Harley's other hot seller, the now out of stock thanks to popular demand - Fat Bob.
Polaris RZR XP 900
The other drive on our list is the Polaris RZR XP 900. Many of the visitors that were spotted eyeing the Range Rover also walked down to view the Polaris XP 900. This 4x4 drive is in the interest of off-roading enthusiasts who participate in events, enjoy adventure sports and like to take off into the wild outdoors to tread a path with a difficult terrain. Not as pricey as your hi-end SUV, the XP 900 is on the market for an affordable Rs 21 lakhs, and is a first mover of sorts in the segment, in India.
For all those interested in the off roader experience but undecided on making a purchase, Polaris will soon be setting up Power Sports Centres all over the country. People can come in, pick a drive of their choice and cruise on mock ATV tracks for recreational purposes.
