Audi R8 Races in to the Indian Market

January 2013 has already witnessed the launch of the new Audi Q5 in India. Hot on the tread marks of the SUV release is Audi’s R8, a luxurious drive in the sports car segment.

The drive is available in the V8 Coupé, V10 Coupé and V10 Spyder variants.

The car comes packed with power - a 4.2-litre engine supports the V8 engine, while the V10 boasts of a 5.2 litre.

Audi claims that replacing the R tronic with the seven speed S tronic has upped the car’s performance, enabling faster gearshifts and improving acceleration by 0.3 percent.

Audi R8 now in India

While the R8 V8 Coupé does a 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, the V10 achieves the same in 3.6 seconds. The V10 Spyder treads in the middle going from 0-100 in 3.8 seconds.

A finishing touch—the Audi R8 will sport the all-LED headlights, a feature the company has decided to standardise over all models.

The (ex-showroom Delhi) price for the Audi R8 V8 is Rs 1.34 cr, the V10 is Rs 1.57 cr, and for the V10 Spyder is Rs 1.73 cr.
