Lancome Unveils Spring Summer 2012 Collection
Legend has it that a specially-created rose garden was one of the most favourite places of Nelly, wife of Lancôme founder. The two of them would enjoy the beauty of spring by spending time in the garden amidst the blossoming roses. Incidentally, these blossoms also went on to inspire the Lancôme emblem as we it today. Taking a cue from this very garden, the Lancôme make-up artistic director Aaron De Mey has created the SS12 collection aptly titled Roseraie des Délices which literally translates to ‘rose garden of delights’. The collection features shades that pay fitting tribute to the spring season.
Glam up your eyes with the eye shadow palettes – one inspired by rosebuds featuring shades of fuchsia while the other is comprised of pale greens inspired by hues of mint.
Give your lips a bold new look with vibrant tones of tangerine orange, fuchsia and baby pink. In keeping with the theme, nails colours too include a delightful tangerine, powder pink and almond green. With the colours of spring in your palette, it’s time to play up your feminine side this season.
