Limited Edition: Rs 4 Lakh Swarovski-Studded Chess Set by Ahmedabad-Based Jeweller

Chess has always been one of the few games that put India in the global spotlight. And this time it's the board that plans on taking on the world thanks to an Ahmedabad-based jewellery. 
 
With only 50 Luxus Chess chessboards to be distributed globally, this limited edition chess set is studded with Swarovski Zirconia stones. Priced at $8,250 (approx Rs 4.55 lakh) the chessboard and its components are made through the latest technology in jewellery manufacturing using CAD-CAM technology.
 
Each piece – made of an international purity level of 92.50 per cent of silver- is studded with fine Swarovski Zirconia stones and entirely weighs about 1,500 gm.
 
About 11,500 cubic Zirconia gems have been used in the set. The chess set comes in a wooden box with three opening doors. The inside of the box is made of acrylic material to ensure safe storage. It also includes two pairs of cotton gloves.
