Battered Ecclestone Becomes Hublot Watch Model

Being beaten up and mugged has led Bernie Ecclestone, businessman and Formula1 team boss to become a model for the luxury Hublot watch brand.
 
Ecclestone, who was mugged in London recently, was apparently robbed off his Formula 1 Hublot watch worth £200,000 (approx Rs 1.4 crore) and jewellery from Favia Flosi, his girlfriend. It prompted Ecclestone to share a picture of himself with a black eye with Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver. A note attached to the picture read: "See what people will do for a Hublot."
 
And guess what Biver did? He turned it into an ad! Biver used the picture sent by Ecclestone in the ad and the note became the tagline for it.
 
The ad, which has already featured in the International Herald Tribune and the Financial Times, is set to become a full-fledged campaign.
