Time 'N Style Beauty catches up with her as she reveals some of her beauty secrets... What is the first thing that you apply on your skin every morning?
What is the first thing that you apply on your skin every morning?
I find that a splash of cold water on my face soon after I wake up refreshes me and wakes me up. I don’t use a towel, and let it dry on its own, instead.
What is your favorite beauty product?
Yoghurt or curd is my all-time favourite beauty product because it’s natural and has so many great uses. It gives your skin a healthy glow, works as a conditioner and promotes hair growth, among other things.
What are the essentials inside your makeup kit?
Apart from a good foundation, the essentials I carry are mascara, a lip balm and my YSL No.15 lipstick.
What beauty tips can you give our readers?
Drink lots of water throughout the day even if you don’t feel thirsty. [Secondly], avoid smoking, as it causes your skin to age faster. Also, instead of trying a host of different beauty products, visit a dermatologist incase you have any skin-related issues.
What is your skin care and haircare regimen?
I apply a curd and cucumber mixture on my face at least once a week, which ensures a healthy glow. As far as my hair is concerned, I go for deep-conditioning treatments on a regular basis.
How do your describe your everyday look?
Before stepping out of my house, I just sweep on some of my Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara. It’s just that and my wild, curly hair.
Do you have a specific fitness routine?
My fitness routine includes weight training along with Pilates and 30 minutes of cardio. I also play squash.
Do you follow a particular diet?
I’m a vegetarian, so I follow a basic diet, which I change on a weekly-basis.
Who is your role model when it comes to beauty?
My mother, because she believes that we should be thankful for the way God made us, instead of undergoing surgeries to try and change the way we look. She has never treated herself to a facial, bleach or any other chemical treatment. She eats healthy and doesn’t smoke or drink.
How has your experience in the film industry been so far?
It's been great. I have met truly good souls and supportive people, and have ended up finding the best of friends here.
Which is your favorite destination and why?
Home, whether it’s Delhi or Mumbai. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than being with my family and my dogs.
