What are the primary causes of hairfall?
Thinning hair and hair fall are a big concern among men and women, both. It could be your diet, change of water, change in climate and of course, stress. Sometimes it can be two or three causes clubbed together. Faulty chemical hair treatments can also aggravate the situation. Reasons for balding in men maybe internal or external. Address the issue and take it from there.
Are there any warning signs one needs to look out for?
In men, there are different stages (approximately five) through which it happens. In the first two stages, you will see the hair thinning. You will see signs like hair falling all over the pillow or strands falling even when you touch your hair. Generally, 50-60 hair strands falling, after you
shampoo is normal. If it’s anything more than that, then you need to visit a trichologist to get to the root of the problem.
What is the right solution to deal with the problem?
If you have a hair fall problem, avoid too much colouring or chemical treatments. Just opt for

Does oiling help arrest hairfall?
Oil needs to be applied on the scalp. Not a whole lot of it; just enough so that the scalp is oily. This should be followed by a very gentle finger massage. Take care not to be too rough with
your hair. The massage on your scalp will improve the blood circulation and will also help strengthen the roots and nourish the hair.
What is your advice to someone suffering from a hair fall problem?
Follow the basic regimen of cleansing and conditioning. It would be preferable to keep the hair slightly shorter. If the hair is too long, its weight can make it hard to deal with the issue. Keep your scalp clean and go for treatments that nourish it. Also, keep your diet protein-rich which will keep your hair and scalp healthy.
