What are primers?
What are primers?
Makeup primers normally help smoothen the skin especially, by covering up the fine lines prior to makeup or foundation application. It’s been observed that with the use of primers, foundation and eye-shadows do last longer and are less prone to creasing. Although using a primer turns out to be beneficial, I personally feel that the same effect can be achieved with an appropriate moisturiser and/or pore refiner. It’s a choice that you need to make.
What are the correct ways of application?
One can always apply a product in various ways but the best way to apply a primer is to dot the product around the face and massage it gently into the skin in round and upward strokes. The process bears resemblance to the way one usually applies a moisturiser.
What are the different kinds of primers that are available?
The primers available are mostly tinted and clear. The fluid can be more viscous or thick. The understanding here is that of the skin type that you have. One should use primers appropriately depending on the skin type.
How does one choose a particular primer based on skin tone?
Primers don’t need any extra study of the skin. Foundations have existed in our makeup kits since forever. Primers can be selected in the same fashion in which we pick up a foundation based on the colour that our skin reflects.
Would it be necessary to use primers in order to boast of a flawless skin?
If I had to comment on this I would say that they are useful but certainly not a necessity.
What skin issue can best be dealt with the use of primers?
Primers are extremely useful and prove to be a boon for uneven skin tones, with lines and/ or blemishes. Also, one comes to realise that the product is more effective on older women. In fact, young girls if using a primer don’t need to apply a foundation post that. Just a compact or powder will do.
Any tips that you would like to share with our readers?
Keeping it simple is the best way to get a wonderful-looking skin. Tinted primers are great for the day with just a compact or loose powder.
